This was formerly called Subtle Rush and was written in 2023 as part of Jamuary, as were 6 (well, kind of 7) of the 8 tracks of this record! Which means most of them were mostly written in a day, and mostly in a couple of stolen hours each evening, with just a bit of touching up in the following months (and then a torturous process of mixing and mastering)
I really liked this track originally and didn’t have to edit it much after that. I think the existence of it spawned the concept of the record as a whole, tying a lot of the other songs I’d written at that time together.
It’s short, it’s sweet. It goes pretty hard on melody and vibe, and I think it sums up the record nicely.
