Stepping into the clearing they saw an odd structure, completely at odds with the twisting bark and dense foliage of the forest around it. It was sleek, it’s curved metallic casing reflecting the sunbeams that poked through the canopy. Its gentle humming dissolved into the background of birdsong and rustling leaves. It was foreign and strange, but there it was nonetheless. Who had built it?

Another track born from Jamuary 2023. In hindsight I think this might be the strongest track on the record, but I’m finding it very hard to pick between them.
I had the curved shiny turrets and GladOS from Portal in my head when I was coming up with the title and the idea of the track. After I’d written the music, of course. Ether Awe by Steve Hadfield was a big influence on this one and the record as a whole.
